Purpose and storage duration of processed data

We categorically only process personal data of our users if this is necessary to provide a functional website as well as our contents and services. The processing of personal data of our users generally takes place only after consent of the user. An exception applies in those cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for justified reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by law.

Your data is not subject to decision-making based on automated processing.

Our Standard Operation Procedures take care of operational and technical measures to guarantee security and integrity of stored data.

Right of information, correction and deletion

It is your right to contact us at any time to require information about your personal data that is processed by us. If this data is not correct anymore you may request correction. You may request erasure or blocking of your personal data if there is no conflict with existing lawful or contractual regulations. For change requests of your data please contact the GRADE Reading Center. In case we transfer your data we will consider your corrections.

Revocation of declaration of consent

Some data processing is only possible if you explicitly permitted the processing. You may object your already granted permission at any time. To object please contact the GRADE Reading Center. The legitimacy of data processing until your objection is not affected by your objection.

Right to complain to the responsible regulatory agency

In case your request can not be clarified with our Data Protection Officer you have the right to complain to the responsible regulatory agency if there is a violation of data protection. The responsible regulatory agency is the Data Protection Officer at the state of North Rhine-Westphalia:

Right to transfer data

You have the right to request transfer of your personal data that we processed automatically or based on your permission. Data may be transferred on your request to yourself or to a third party. Data will be transferred in a machine readable format. A request for data transfer to a different data processing entity can only be achieved if technically possible.

SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to ensure protection of sensible data. This means that data that is transferred using this website can not be read by third parties. Encrypted connections can usually be recognized by “https://” label and/or a lock icon in the internet browser’s address line.

Server log files

We automatically store information in server log files that is automatically transmitted by your browser or that you entered into the website, e.g.:

This data is not combined with data from other sources. Data processing is based on Art. 6 § 1 sec. b GDPR that allows data processing in compliance with contracts or procedures prior to entering into a contract.
